Harrachov is also the largest and best-known winter sports centre in the Giant Mountains especially for ski jumping. The town lies at the western tip of the highest Czech mountains - the Giant Mountains - at 720 metres above sea level and it is surrounded on all sides by mountains and thick coniferous forests. The town's dominant feature is Devil's Mountain (Čertova hora) at 1022 m above sea level. The Devil's Mountain ski lift is in operation all year round with the option of taking mountain bikes and skis.
