Hotel Lucia in Veseli nad Luznici, while being located in the absolute geographical center of a very historical city whose history dates back to the year 1259 is in fact situated on an island between two rivers and a connecting creek in a beautiful setting of mature tall trees and vegetation and adjoins a popular canoist campground which is also operated by Hotel Lucia. The Hotel Lucia is ideally located for visitors to the many castles and chateaux of Southern Bohemia including Cervena Lhota, Cesky Krumlov, Castle Hluboka, Trebon, Jindrichuv Hradec, and Bechyne. It is also ideal for bicyclists, water-sports lovers, with a beautyful clean lake - a former sand-pit with sandy beaches surrounded by pine woods - being only about one kilometer from the hotel! We can show you how to drive almost right up to the beach in your car, or ride to it in your bike (or rent one of ours!) or just walk there in just a few minutes. The public bus stop is right at the doorstep, the train station is only a short walk from the hotel, and the city with aprox. 6500 inhabitants is compact enough that you can get anywhere you need to go within a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is non-smoking, except that there is one smoking salon adjacent yet totally separated from the main restaurant which is well ventilated which can accommodate smokers' (hopefully soon-to-be non-smokers!), and guest while prohibited from smoking in their rooms are allowed to smoke on the balconies of their rooms (each room has one) as well as on the common balconies and many outdoor terraces where they can sit under large sunbrellas and eat and drink merrily. The restaurant offers a wide variety of foods including a healh-food menu and classic not-so-healthy (but very good-tasting) czech and international foods, including excellent pizzas!
